The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Robert Louis Stevenson is dedicated to this extremely creative storyteller. Many decorative details of this edition are inspired by the novel "Treasure Island". The overall shape of the writing instrument recreates the effect of a historic extendable telescope. This edition revisits the story of "Treasure Island" and features the famous Hispaniola on the body of the writing instrument, set in fine black lacquer. The Hispaniola sets sail waving a British flag behind a small window. Tracing the history of the Pirate Mutiny, you can rotate the banner using a small knob to reveal a pirate flag. The distinctive gold-finish cap is adorned with vertical lines that recall the planks of the schooner “Hispaniola” and a traditional chest. Behind the distinctive gold-finished clip, the lines converge to create a compass rose, while the clip reproduces the shape of a cleat, to which the ship's shrouds are attached. The cap is crowned with the Montblanc emblem in mother-of-pearl. The cap ring is engraved with Stevenson's signature. In homage to Robert Louis Stevenson's passion for sailing and his choice to move to the South Seas, the hand-crafted 18K solid gold nib is engraved with a delicate motif with clouds, seagulls and the name that the Samoans they gave the great writer and globetrotter: “Tusitala”. With distinctive gold and/or distinctive gold coating, Montblanc describes the luminous shade of yellow gold that has become a symbol of the Maison's writing instruments. Ident 129521
